Client: Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason Industry: Health Care; Not-for-Profits Objective: Create an invitation, poster and other design materials for a major fundraising event that reflect the evening’s theme Target Audience: Existing and potential donors, particularly within the Japanese-American community The Deliverable: MarketFitz’ art director developed a simple design concept for use in a poster, invitation and reply card, event signage and decorations, and related materials. The colors red and black create a striking balance between the typography and illustrations, creating a harmonious package. In a series of original paintings created for use within the poster, MarketFitz incorporated symbols central to the Japanese culture. These elements, in combination with the design, spoke strongly of this events authenticity – particularly to a key audience. The Results: The event exceeded its financial goals and historical performance. Awards: In 2005, MarketFitz’ team was awarded two Certificates of Merit for this work. |
